Sushi Time

In Rata we have been learning about how people live in different cultures. Room 12 has been exploring the culture and traditions of Japan. Food is important in lots of counties and this is the same in Japan. Check out our sushi making. 

Miriama's Prove It Writing

I will prove that I can use simple and compound sentences correctly and some complex sentences. Write a description of an image showing you can use the above features correctly.

As the bright yellow sneaky sun was rising, the wind was gusting through. All of the dandelions were blowing in the nice cool hot summer breeze. Until… A big chunk of wind came crashing in. My hair was blowing everywhere. I couldn’t see anything or hear anything. The only  annoying thing is that I could only hear my mother. I strided down to the back door but the wind was so strong that I couldn’t even open the door. I ran to a dandelion and I made a big wish, “I wish the wind would go away.” I started to sob. I was cold because the wind was so freezing. My teeth started chattering UNTIL…the wind went away. I could finally open the door gently. As soon as I got into the house, the wind started AGAIN!!

One day there was a grey and blue jet zooming in the air. The   jet was doing aerobatics in the air and I thought I want to have a go in the jet while it is in the  white and blue air. But I couldn`t have a go because I was not old enough. I saw the jet doing backflips, twisting and turning. After that I saw it getting lower and lower down but it turned while it was falling. In the last minute he pulled up so hard and it was so strong that he flew out of control. It was scary like a hand following you. The gas was flowing out of the tip of the wide wings. It made a long line unfortunately  it faded away very slowly.The fumas blended in the white clouds.

The strong jet flew past the crowd and showed its sharp tail. The crowed went wild when the flaming jet went flashing past. The jet went up and up until you couldn't see the jet . Suddenly the jet was tumbling down and spinning and spinning through the air. Wow! everyone thought that was so cool. He hit his head while driving the aircraft We thought that he was on conchis but suddenly the jet pulled up. phew! people were rubbing their heads because they thought that the man was on conchis.

The jet was getting closer to the ground and the crowed thought that the jet was coming closer to the ground.The jets wheels came out of the stomach of the jet. Everyone sprinted over to the jet but they got too close that they hurt there ears. The jet landed and the tyres squeked as the wheels touched the runway.After he landed the plane I saw him jumping up and down until he stepped out of the jets.

Ka boom! The volcano erupted and the explosion went 1000 usefull miles wide. There were lava puddles everywhere. The  steaming  hot  lava  was as bright as 100 torchers gleaming on the same  place. The volcano was very unpredictable when it  erupted.  It  looked like  it was  spewing out demolishing  lava. The crater was getting drenched because it was  in  the  way.  It was  midnight,  although  it  looked  like  fireworks  brightening  the sky.  The  deadly  smoke  was  slowly  drifting  across  the  gloomy  sky.  A  few  hours  after  that  it  did  not  look  as  magnificent  as  it  once  had.   The  lava  got  past   everything  in  its  tracks.  The  steep  rocky  volcano  was shaking  like crazy.  Unlucky  trees  got  were destroyed  as  fast  as  a  bowling  ball  smacking  over  white  bowling  pins.  I  am  glad  I  wasn't  there  when  it  erupted.
